Bandwidth Management

Internet connection is no longer a nice to have, but a business critical tool. Bandwidth management covers two major areas of concern for organisations. Firstly, redundancy. Business's cannot afford to lose their connections - and a single ISP, single connection is a single point of failure. A second, diverse, connection makes sound business sense, especially as the cost of bandwidth falls. The second area of concern is the use of the bandwidth available. Is it being used productively or not? By controlling the data we can ensure the important data gets priority over less important data. Additionally it is important to look at compressing data to get more data down a set size pipe. It is important remote offices have high speed, clear access to central data centres and applications.
